3.1.1 CA (Communication Assistant)
Description
CTI First Party Call Control can be conducted by connecting a PC containing the CA application to the PBX. Activation keys are required to enable the application, some of which are preinstalled on the IPCMPR card.
CA is a serverless application that runs on a LAN network. CA has 3 operating modes: Basic, Pro, and Supervisor.
As well as many of the same features as PC Phone/PC Console, CA offers some new CTI features such as:
•
Presence:
CA users can view the present status (Available, Busy, etc.) of other CA users in their contact list. This feature is not available for CA Basic.
•
ICD Group Supervisor:
A supervisor can use this feature to monitor users within an ICD group from a PC.
•
Call Accounting:
Calls can be monitored from a PC in the same way as SMDR for the PBX.
